A molding you need matched, a species you're looking for, or milling for your own boards. We'll get back to you.

Optional. For our reply.

A photo of the molding you want to match helps us narrow it down.

Ordering, payment and pickup

The Armstrong mill shop floor with men at work and boards on carts
Is there a minimum order?

Not on lumber: buy one board or a whole job. Milling has a minimum charge, $20 for our lumber and $25 for yours. Walk-ins are welcome during shop hours.

How do custom orders work?

Jobs are filled per custom order, in the order received. We ask for roughly a 50% deposit on every order, with the balance due at pickup.

What forms of payment do you take?

Cash or check, personal or company. We do not accept credit or debit cards.

Do you deliver?

Orders are customer pickup at the mill.

What lengths are available?

Most materials come in 8 to 12 foot lengths. Many species are available in 13 to 16 foot lengths at a premium price.

How is molding priced?

We charge a molding setup for each knife used, and some profiles take more than one knife. There's no setup charge for dimensional material.

Can you match a molding you don't have?

Yes. New knives are custom ground to match an existing profile. They become part of our in-house library, stay available, and are never reground to another profile.

Do you do glue-ups and stair parts?

Yes. We laminate solid custom counter tops, table tops, panels, posts and legs, and carry newels (box and turned), balusters, bending rail and fittings.
